NLE Choppa Concert Set to be Most Exciting Male Performance Ever to Take Place in Don Roberts Ice Arena

ST. PETER, MN– It’s not every day that a celebrity makes their way to St. Peter. Though it doesn’t happen often, Gustavus has had its fair share of famous run-ins. From drag queen Victoria DeVille hosting SNL to the Swedish Royal Family coming a couple times in the 90s, Gustavus isn’t exactly a stranger to A-list celebs. But this spring we’re taking it to a whole new level. Gusties have barely been able to contain their excitement as the NLE Choppa concert has been announced for later this April. With the Top Shotta’s venue recently confirmed as Don Roberts Ice Arena, fans are getting hyped for what is being confirmed as the single most exciting male performance to ever take place in the Don Roberts Ice Arena.

When people first got the news of NLE Choppa coming to Gustavus, it seemed way too good to be true. “When the Bad Bad Hats came and played outside the Caf last year, I really thought my life had peaked,” exclaimed junior Jerry Biggsby. “But then the NLE Choppa concert was announced and my world got turned upside down again!” With excitement on campus at an all-time high, ticket sales have been soaring through the roof. Within 30 minutes of the campus-wide email announcing tickets, over 200 students had signed up to pack the Don Roberts Ice Arena. This number marked a new statistical high in individual ticket sales for a male performance at the Don Roberts Ice Arena, surpassing Professor Jonathan Birch’s riveting speech on the brains of ants this past fall during the Nobel Conference.

Students aren’t the only ones getting hyped for the event of the year, as the public is now able to purchase tickets for the rap concert as well. “I have never heard of this MLB Chopper guy but I’ll be damned if I’m not at a music concert being held at Gustavus!” said former G-choir member and Gustavus class of ‘68 graduate Elroy Danvers. “I’ve been to every Christmas in Christ Chapel and every Gustavus Wind Orchestra concert that I’ve been able to so I simply have to be there!” Needless to say, for the first time in a very long time the campus is buzzing with excitement for a male performance at Don Roberts, something few imagined would ever happen again.
